SINO digital readout (DRO) is  LCD display (incremental signal) usually with an integrated keyboard and some means of numeric representation. The optical principle that works through the moiré fringes on the grating generates pulse signals, which the digital display meter converts into digital displays. Its integral computer reads signals generated by optical linear glass scale or angle (rotary )encoders installed to track machine axes, using these measures to keep track of and display to a machine operator the workpiece position (e.g., milling machines), or tool position (lathes, grinders, etc) in space.

SDS 6-3VA DRO is a precise measuring product, with the main purpose of providing detection and locating functions for test instruction or during the processing of various manual machine tools of different types.
SINO digital readout system is commonly fitted to machines, especially for metal working — lathes, cylindrical grinders, milling machines, surface grinders, boring mills & other machine tools — to allow the operator to work faster and with greater accuracy. DROs are used for manual machines
It's a three-axis system (or 2 axes optional)  X, Y, Z axes are common on milling machines; X, Z, Z0 for the lathe machine. It reads resolution 0.1μm,0.2μm,0.5μm,1μm,2μm,5μm, 10μm
